What does it take to get 5 stars?
The industry organization Svensk Camping regularly classifies its members based on what is offered at the campsite and the standard of the facilities. This is so that, as a guest, you can quickly get an idea of what kind of experience you can expect on site.
The stars are a summary of the rating the campsite has received in four categories:
- Service center
- The area
- Facilities
- Activities.
To be able to reach 5-star status, a wide range of options is required as well as a total rating of over 90% in these categories.

Nice and fresh service buildings
We have six service buildings. The newest one is located at Höglandet and includes everything from toilets and family rooms to a kitchen with an industrial dishwasher. Service building number 6 at Norrviken has been newly renovated and here you’ll find – in addition to what you normally expect in a service building – a sauna area with lounge furniture and a terrace with sea views for those who want to enjoy their stay a little extra. We often hear from our guests how much they appreciate that our service buildings are fresh and well-maintained.
The area that invites many adventures
When you visit Daftö, you have everything you need in one place. At the resort there are beautiful hiking trails, outdoor activities such as adventure golf, padel courts and fun playgrounds. There are restaurants, a grocery store, activities with pirates and the resort’s own amusement park, Daftöland. From the excursion jetty, boat trips run during the summer that take you out on the Koster Sea, and if you want to experience more in the surrounding area, there is a wide range of things to do.
Amenities for an extra comfortable stay
Reception with generous opening hours, grocery store, restaurants, lovely cabins where the pirate theme runs like a common thread, beautiful camping pitches in various sizes, CamperClean and service buildings with everything you could possibly need. Everything is here for a memorable holiday. Your day can both start and end at Restaurang Packhuset, where the evening entertainment is the icing on the cake.
Activities with and without pirates
During weekends and school holidays from Easter through the autumn break, a wide range of activities is included in the accommodation price. Activities for the whole family, both with and without pirates. Some examples are treasure hunts, pirate crafts, crab fishing competitions, pool parties and yoga on the beach. In addition, the Daftöland amusement park is located right next door, offering even more adventures with rides, games and pirates.

Right next to Restaurant Packhuset you’ll find the pool area. Here there are three pools with a pirate ship, waterfalls, water cannons, a slide and a lookout tower. Board a pirate ship in the adventure pool, splash your friends or siblings with the water cannon, or enjoy the day on a sun lounger.
Beach games and sea bathing
When you stay at Daftö, you’re close to the sea and everything that comes with it. Swim, sunbathe, play and enjoy the summer on the West Coast. During the summer, some of the activities take place down at Södra Stranden, and there you might spot our sustainability pirate ReTure, who teaches us more about marine life.
