Late summer on Daftö
At Daftö you can stay all year round, with different adventures and experiences depending on when you visit us. On this page you can take part in what can be experienced during August and September, the period between peak summer and Spöktober.
After the summer weeks, the guided activities are fewer during late summer, but in August, you can still experience activities with the Daftö pirates during the weekends. Late summer is also a perfect time for classes, groups, companies, and associations to visit us. Or for families who want a bit more peace and quiet, as well as lower accommodation prices than during the summer weeks.

Pool area
The pool area is open until September 7, and admission is included when you stay with us.
Pirate activities
Even in late summer, you can enjoy activities with the Daftö Pirates – all of week 33 and the weekend of week 34.
Adventure golf
Challenge each other in true pirate spirit! Our adventure golf course features 18 holes inspired by the pirates’ sea adventures. You can rent golf balls and clubs at the reception during opening hours.
Mountain biking
Here you'll find bike trails with singletrack and flow sections – perfect for anyone craving a high-speed adventure on two wheels. Bring your own bike!
Fun at sea
Rent a canoe, SUP board, or pedal boat from us and head out to sea. A fun activity that makes it easy to explore more beautiful spots in the archipelago around Daftö.
Padel tennis
At Daftö, there are two outdoor padel courts located above the Pirate Village. Book the courts via Matchi, and you can rent rackets and buy balls at the reception during its opening hours.
Hiking and outdoor gym
At Daftö, you’ll find several hiking trails of varying lengths, as well as an outdoor gym. There are also well-known trails nearby, such as the Bohusleden and the Coastal Trail (Kuststigen). You can choose from a variety of routes with different landscapes and environments, depending on what kind of experience you’re looking for. The Daftö Challenge
Maybe you’ve seen TV shows like Wild Kids, Survivor, or The Ultimate Challenge? Daftökampen draws inspiration from these and offers a competition experience for the whole family! You compete as either Pirates or Privateers, facing off in various exciting challenges. Follow a map that leads you to different thrilling stations and tasks. At each challenge station, you'll find instructions explaining how it works and who in your group should take it on. Daftökampen is the perfect activity for adventure and family fun!
Experience Mareld
Mareld is plankton that gathers together and emits brief flashes of light. If you jump into the sea when darkness falls, it's like swimming in a glittering fireworks display. In the dark, Mareld appears as a flickering blue-green light in the water. During the day, it can be seen as a rusty or orange band along the shoreline. The most common time to experience Mareld is during August and September.
Wood-fired pier sauna with sea dip
At the resort, you’ll find a wood-fired pier sauna where you can end your session with a refreshing dip in the sea. The sauna also includes a small kitchenette and a changing room. It’s the perfect place to relax with loved ones, friends, or colleagues. In late summer, the pier sauna becomes an ideal spot to experience the magic of Mareld – a sparkling sea fireworks display.
Wellness and spa
Warmth, water, and sauna – the perfect recipe for relaxation. The wellness area is booked exclusively, so you and your group can enjoy the jacuzzi, sauna, and lounge all to yourselves. The space accommodates 10–12 people.
The store
Here you can buy everything from fresh bread and coffee in the morning to meat to grill for dinner and sweets for evening comfort. In addition to food, we have a wide range of toys and necessities you may have forgotten at home, such as water guns, adapters or toothbrushes. We have everything for a smooth camping experience without unnecessary trips to the grocery store.
