Late summer on Daftö

At Daftö you can stay all year round, with different adventures and experiences depending on when you visit us. On this page you can take part in what can be experienced during August and September, the period between high summer and Spöktober.

After the summer weeks, the guided activities are fewer during late summer, but in August, you can still experience activities with the Daftö pirates during the weekends. Late summer is also a perfect time for classes, groups, companies, and associations to visit us. Or for families who want a bit more peace and quiet, as well as lower accommodation prices than during the summer weeks.

Below, you can find everything that Daftö has to offer during late summer.

Between 5-30/9 you can stay 3 nights for the price of 2 nights. Enter "September" in the last step of the online booking. Applies to camping, cabins and the Pirate Hotel.

Pool area

The pool area is open until September 1 and entrance is included when you stay with us.

Pirate activities

Even in late summer, you can experience activities with the pirates. On Saturdays in weeks 33 and 34, you can join the Daftö pirates for activities such as treasure hunts in the forest, crab fishing, crafts at the Pirate Loft, and the Daftö train. End the evenings at the Packhouse with a Pirate Party at 5:00 PM or entertainment on stage at 8:00 PM.

Adventure golf

Challenge each other in true caper spirit! Our adventure golf course consists of 18 courses inspired by pirates' adventures at sea. You can rent golf balls and clubs at reception during reception opening hours.

MTB cycling

Here there are cycle paths with trail cycling and flow courses for those who yearn for a fast-paced adventure on two wheels. Bring your own bike!

Fun at sea

Rent a canoe, SUP board or a pedal boat from us and get out to sea. A fun activity that makes it easy to experience more beautiful places in the archipelago around Daftö.

Padel tennis

On Daftö there are two outdoor padel courts and you will find them above Piratbyn. The courts are booked through Matchi and you can rent racks and buy balls at the reception during the reception's opening hours.

Hiking and outdoor gym

On Daftö there are several hiking trails of various lengths and an outdoor gym. In addition, there are several well-known trails not far from the resort, such as Bohusleden and Kuststigen. You can therefore choose from several different trails with different landscapes and environments depending on what you want to experience. Daftökampen

Maybe you've seen TV shows like Wild Kids, Robinson or Master of Masters? Daftökampen takes inspiration from these competitions and offers a competition experience for the whole family! You compete as either pirates or privateers, and are pitted against your opponents in various challenges. You follow a map that leads you to various exciting challenges and competitions. At each station with a challenge you will find instructions on how the challenge is carried out and who will take on the task. Daftökampen is the perfect activity for adventure and family fun.

The store

Here you can buy everything from fresh bread and coffee in the morning to meat to grill for dinner and sweets for evening comfort. In addition to food, we have a wide range of toys and necessities you may have forgotten at home, such as water guns, adapters or toothbrushes. We have everything for a smooth camping experience without unnecessary trips to the grocery store.

Experience Mareld

Mareld is plankton that gathers and emits short flashes. If you jump into the sea after dark, it's like bathing in a sparkling firework. In the dark, Mareld is visible as a flashing blue-green light in the sea. During the day it can be seen as a rust-colored or orange band along the edge of the sea. It is most common to experience Mareld during August and September.

Brew sauna by the sea

The resort has, among other things, a wood-fired brew sauna that can be finished with a dip in the sea. In the brew sauna there is also a small kitchenette and changing room. A perfect place to enjoy together with loved ones, friends or colleagues. During the late summer, the brew sauna is also a perfect place to experience Mareld from - a glittering sea firework.

Wellness & Spa

Heat, water, and sauna provide excellent conditions for relaxation. The wellness section is booked in its entirety, allowing you and your group to enjoy the jacuzzi, sauna, and lounge area privately – the section accommodates 10-12 people.
